Bright splashes of color and movement from a fabulous fashion show featuring designer Emy Cruz's creations awed guests as gravity-defying performances by Airdance punctuated each segment of the event. The  Bloom  Brothers kept spirits high with music from the 60s to the 80s as guests were  treated to a sumptuous cocktail spread, free-flowing drinks, and a raffle of luxury fragrances and jewelry.

Nuttiness

Oona and I always drive each other nuts. Sometimes as soon as we wake up, and until the last minute of being awake. We have screaming fits. We butt heads. We have staring contests ... er-DUELS. We exasperate the heck out of each other, over big things and small things. At the end of the day however, we try to reach out to each other and fall asleep holding hands. I make it a point to tell her too that no matter how our day goes, or how it went, I love her and am proud of her (aaand we just have a lot more learning to do!). 


Even now that her little sisters are following in her kakulitan and developing their own taste for adventure and exploration, I still assume that at the end of all of the girls' childhoods, I'll be missing these moments, screaming and yelling included. Just thinking about it now IS making me tear up! I only hope that until the end of my life, they'll not be afraid, embarassed or ashamed to reach out to mom, no matter what, even just to hold hands briefly. Because bottom line? Loving them to bits is unquestionable and I'll always be there for them even through hard, rocky times. It's nutty, I know.

So, Ron mahal, we better stockpile lots of chocolate for me when empty-nest syndrome hits me. (Or have a private plane to Fiji so I can bawl my eyes out with a pina colada.)
